Imagine a venue filled with the positive energy of teenagers busy workshopping solutions to society’s most important problems.  Then imagine unleashing all of that profound insight on an audience of adults with the ability to make their demands real – that is a Hope Hack!

Each Hope Hack is expertly built by the Hope Collective’s Youth Management Group and local partners, including Violence Reduction Units and youth workers, to inspire and encourage young people through talks, performances and group work.  The process bubbles frustrations, then solutions to the surface, delivering them in young people’s own words directly to politicians, civil servants, police and community leaders. These critical partners are there to listen – then do – mandated by the youth.

Each event is unique, taking on its own life and forming priorities that are live and real for the young people who attend.  Every Hack carries the spirit of hopeful Damilola Taylor, dreaming of a fairer, safer society.
